Erika Rubinstein holds an MA in Philology and is a conference interpreter and court-authorised translator. She is a member of AIIC and the VKD and has worked as a freelance interpreter and translator since 2000 in the language combinations German, Russian and English for EU and UN institutions, federal and state ministries and authorities, as well as international corporations, SMEs, associations, chambers of commerce and other organisations.

Her native language is Russian; she has native-level proficiency in German and C2-level proficiency in English and Spanish, as well as C1-level Italian and B1-level French. After training as a technical translator for Russian and English, she studied Romance Languages & Literatures and Film & Television Studies at Ruhr University Bochum, complemented by periods of study abroad in Spain and Italy (graduating in 2005).

Erika Rubinstein provides simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for events in the fields of politics, business, technology and culture. Her areas of specialisation include the automotive and mechanical engineering industries, energy, agriculture, architecture, film and the arts, construction, environmental protection, food, pharmacology, marketing and law.

In 2021, Erika Rubinstein successfully completed further training to become a certified property manager. She also has extensive experience in PR and journalism, having worked for many years with renowned media organisations. In addition, she has considerable experience organising and moderating events, including many years as coordinator of the Düsseldorf Jewish Film Festival.
